How does the training work?

Training will consist of 2 methods being Option 1 or Option 2 and each will depend on the student and their level of commitment and experience.

There are 2 options available to obtain a Forklift license and prices will vary according to experience and the opportunity to pre study prior to our arrival. Please call 0431 823 800 or email for further pricing.

OPTION 1: Prices are discounted

Option 1: PRE STUDY

Pre Course Preparation

All participants will have to spend some time studying our Student Handbook that will be issued to you on enrollment as well as completing some questions and activities found in theory section Part A. This will take most people (beginners) between 8-10 hours of home study or at lunch time at work or small work groups.

Day 1: Initial/Formative 6 - 8 hours depending on experience and commitment to pre study
Day 2: Final Assessment

Option 1: This is for those who have had previous or current experience in using a forklift and comes with a requirement that students must pre study prior to our arrival. ATLAS Training will provide the study material and instructions once a confirmation is received. Please be aware that this comes with a discounted rate however failure to study will refer to Option 2 at a higher rate.

Once the trainer has determined that the students can progress from the initial training, and formative competency assessment for both theory and practical an appointment will be arranged for an Assessor to come on site to take the final formal license assessment.

Final Assessments usually take place a week or fortnight later but if a license is required earlier please communicate this to us so that a suitable arrangement can be sorted.

Day 1: Initial Training 3-4 hours
Day 2: Formative Training 3-4 hours,

The second formative visit is usually 1-2 weeks after the initial visit where we will refresh over the initial training and sit a formative exam including the theory and practical to be deemed competent and ready for the Final Assessment.

Once the trainer has determined that the students can progress from the initial training, and formative competency assessment for both theory and practical an appointment will be arranged for an Assessor to come on site to take the final formal license assessment.
